Helena was born in London and raised in New Zealand.
Her first short film, Harry and Peter in Love won Best Art Direction at the New York Short Film Festival.

Her second, Nothing Special, was nominated for the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival, won Best Short Film at the Cinéma des Antipodes, selected for competition at film festivals worldwide and bought for broadcast by Canal Plus and SBS.

Based in London where she is represented by Ridley Scott's RSA Films for commercials, she has recently completed a documentary for 180 Amsterdam, and is writing feature films.
